Noted is a personal planner. This page explains what it collects, why, and how to remove it.

Microphone and voice

When you tap the mic, your phone's built-in speech recognition turns your voice into text. Audio is not stored by Noted. On iPhone, Apple may process speech on its servers; on Android, Google may. Replies are read aloud by your phone's built-in voice.

Your tasks, plans, events and habits

Everything you add is saved on your phone. If you sign in, it's also stored in your private space in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so it syncs between your devices. Only you can read it. Guests' tasks, plans, events and habits are stored only on the phone; chat requests still go to the assistant as described below.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled on your phone. To receive push notifications your phone gets a token from Firebase Cloud Messaging; it identifies the app install, not you.

AI conversations

When you chat, your messages, the current date and time zone and, if Cognitive Memory is on, your tasks, events and habits are sent to our server (hosted on Cloudflare) and on to Anthropic's Claude model to work out what to do. Noted does not keep chat history on the server. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.

Services we use

Google Firebase (sign-in, storage, sync, messaging), Cloudflare (hosts the server that relays AI requests and counts daily messages), Anthropic (AI replies), and Sign in with Apple or Google if you choose them. We don't sell your data or use it for ads.

Keeping and deleting data

Your data is kept until you delete it. Clear On-Device Data removes the copy on this phone. Delete Account in Settings permanently deletes your account and all synced data.
